The teacher shortage crisis in South Dakota is an ever-present issue. State Education Secretary Tiffany Sanderson says, “Every school district in South Dakota is dealing with staffing shortages for the upcoming school year.” They are missing qualified classroom teachers, substitutes and bus drivers.
