This lack of consistency negatively impacts students’ education.” Critical vacancies include middle and high school specialists that teach high-level science and technologies. Ultimately, the most recent teacher shortage report shows 837 teacher vacancies plus 1,092 under-qualified teachers in Nevada during the 2021-22 school year.
