Keeping Connections in the Classroom

If there were one word to describe every person at Proximity Learning, it would be mission-driven. Every task or duty is performed with the pure intention of connecting students with the expert teachers they deserve. We know that a quality education makes all the difference in a student’s life, which is why we’re actively working to staff schools with live certified teachers

Unfortunately, the teacher shortage spares no school. Vacancies seem endless, and unqualified teachers are being used to fill those empty spots. Proximity Learning is no bystander when it comes to providing access to certified teachers. Through our synchronous instruction model, our live certified teachers are ready to teach at your school, regardless of the distance.

We fulfill our mission with the help of a dedicated team and trained teachers, who work together to meet your school’s needs. The educational landscape changes every day. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly prevalent in education, we ensure that real humans are at the forefront of the classroom and guiding your students to success. While we believe technology can support education, it cannot replace human instruction.

What is Proximity Learning’s purpose?

Proximity Learning’s purpose lies in equitable access to ensure the success of every student we can reach. Beyond the teacher shortage, we know that every student is unique in their learning. Our teachers do not hesitate to take the necessary steps to accommodate every student, ensuring they get the full learning experience. Whether it be extra tutoring or one-on-one instruction, we do what it takes to help our students learn.

Today, it can be hard to come across great teachers. But Proximity Learning makes it easy by streamlining the teacher hiring process and finding the best certified teachers for your school. Instead of hoping for a vacancy to fill up or resorting to unqualified teachers, we choose not to put students’ education at risk. When there’s a need, we have the way.

Our Why

The Human Key

At Proximity Learning, humans lead learning. Our teachers receive onboarding training and become certified to teach virtually before they enter the online classroom. Throughout their teaching, they are supported with professional development to ensure that they have the most up to date tools and software. As technology never ceases to evolve, we harness its efficiency to supplement our teaching. But it will never be a replacement for the real humans who make an impact.

Students thrive when they build connections with their teachers and peers. Asynchronous courses prevent these relationships as they block the student from receiving real learning. Click-through content not only leaves students without teacher support, but it also doesn’t give them the challenge they need to learn. With live virtual instruction, a Proximity Learning teacher will be with your students as if they were in the actual, physical classroom. There’s no need to stress about students not learning when our live synchronous model continues to prove to be an efficient solution.

Proximity Learning keeps moving forward

The goal is simple. We want to connect every student in every community to the kind of certified teacher who can change their life. At Proximity Learning, we strongly believe that human connection is at the heart of real learning. Our synchronous instruction model represents these relationships as we make sure teachers and students get the real interaction they need everyday.

Every partnership we make upholds our principles: More equitable resources for every school in the district. Learn more about how you can keep moving your school forward with Proximity Learning.
