We are thrilled to highlight our exceptional online teachers in our June teacher features!

Online Fine Arts teacher, Stacey Huston might be new to teaching after pivoting into the education sector about two years ago, however her extensive career in the entertainment, hospitality, and travel industries provide her with a varied skill set and dynamic perspective in the world of online teaching. Her passion for Fine Arts has inspired her to create unique lessons for her units like the one she did with her students on props, costumes, and make-up. By engaging their creative skills, she hopes to inspire them to not only consider further study in the Fine Arts, but also their own creative passions as they look towards their post-secondary futures.

Online Literature teacher, Stacey Mankoff is motivated by the knowledge of doing something not only well, but also good for her students. Mrs. M (as her students call her) loves facilitating moments of deep discussion during literature analysis with her 6th graders and seeing what kinds of responses she’ll get. One standout moment prompted her to even make a special purchase on Amazon after a particularly engaging discussion on perseverance. Mrs. Mankoff loves sharing her love and passion for literature with students online all over the country.

Online Social Studies teacher, Jerry Page loves creating those a-ha moments for students when discussing complex historical and social issues. Mr. Page is constantly encouraged by his students' engagement of not being afraid to ask questions when they don’t know something or need another more viable option or example. His use of games as a way of immersing students in the lesson and knowledge is one of his favorite learning activities. Helping students make those real-world connections in these modern times, motivates him to keep teaching.
