Understand the benefits of teaching with Proximity Learning

In recent years, the field of education has witnessed a major shift toward online teaching and learning. As a result, educators have plenty of opportunities to explore these new teaching methodologies and reap their benefits. Unfortunately, many school divisions don’t have the time or resources to support their teachers in this new endeavor.

The good news is, Proximity Learning focuses exclusively on providing training and continued support for teachers to deliver high-quality online synchronous instruction. It’s what we do best!

The format of teaching virtually requires a high level of individual organization and flexibility, and the use of various digital tools and platforms demands greater technological proficiency. Additionally, teachers must find creative ways to keep students engaged and motivated over a distance. These challenges can push educators to innovate, create new strategies, and learn how to adapt their teaching styles to various students and environments.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or just starting in the field, teaching online can provide a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills and improve your teaching effectiveness. By mastering the nuances of virtual instruction, you can become a more dynamic and versatile educator, capable of adapting to the changing demands of the modern learning landscape.

PLI supports teachers with professional development programs

As a professional, it is essential to stay at the top of your game by continuously honing your skills. Participating in professional development programs is an excellent way to enhance your expertise and stay ahead of the game. These programs are designed to equip you with knowledge and skills that are relevant to your field of work.

Proximity Learning’s Professional Development team has created a calendar of events over the summer months to ensure continued growth opportunities as well as make sure our teachers stay connected with instructional best practices. The sessions also serve as team-building activities, so teachers can get to know their colleagues.

By helping PLI teachers explore new trends, methods, and techniques, and leverage them to improve their productivity and effectiveness in the workplace, we are inching closer to our goal of bringing educational equity to one million students

Further, professional development programs can provide you with opportunities to network with other professionals in your field, learn from their experiences, and gain insights into emerging industry trends. In today’s fast-paced and dynamic world, investing in professional development is not only essential but also at the forefront of maintaining your professional edge.

Create a plan to make the most of your time during summer break

Start by setting clear goals and objectives for your break, and then break them down into actionable steps. Whether it’s learning a new skill, volunteering, or traveling, having a plan in place can help you stay focused and motivated. Once you have a plan in place, it’s important to stay committed and hold yourself accountable. With the right mindset and approach, you can create a summer break that is both productive and enjoyable.
