Teachers Lead Corporate Culture
As a global organization (we have teammates living across the country and the world) great care must be taken to establish and nurture a positive organizational culture. We have done this by creating our Connected Community. It is a process that allows all teachers’ and teammates’ voices to be heard and valued.
Since we are an organization of teachers, it is only logical that our teachers take the lead in shaping our corporate culture. They do this by leading our corporate committees called Essential Element Committees. Each committee is aligned to support one of the pillars of our Connected Community.
Proximity teachers are trusted to develop creative solutions and help get results quickly. By building trust between teachers and the corporate team, there is a direct line of communication that allows everyone to better understand each other’s goals and work together towards a common mission.
Equity for 1Million Students
With the ambitious goal of reaching 1 million students, it is imperative that the shared values, attitudes, and beliefs among our teammates are aligned.

At Proximity Learning, our culture is led by our teachers. They are the heart of what we do – without great teachers, we couldn’t provide an excellent education to our students. Our teachers know finding work-life balance is critical to giving it their all at work. Being a teacher is challenging, but they also understand the value of what they do every day. That’s why we regularly communicate with our team members and ask for feedback so that everyone knows their voices are heard and valued.
