Hi, I’m Mary Zielund. I joined the Proximity Learning faculty in 2015 after nearly ten years teaching ASL at one of the top ten schools in Minnesota: Edina High School. Since earning my Master’s in education In 2000, I have taught a variety of courses during the 15 years I have spent as an educator. In addition to teaching American Sign Language, I have taught English to Deaf immigrants as well as writing and math to Deaf students of all ages.
My professional career outside of academia includes working as a sign language Interpreter in community settings and video relay service.
