Algebra 2 is the culminating course in a sequence of three required math courses for high school students. Building on their work with linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, students extend their understanding of functions to include quadratics with complex solutions, polynomials, rational, and radical functions. Students use their knowledge of expressions that define functions and expand their abilities to model situations and solve equations, including solving exponential equations using the properties of logarithms. They apply methods from probability and statistics to draw inferences and conclusions from data.
